Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a real impact supporting students by stepping into a rewarding Special Education teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year. Multiple full-time contract roles are available for passionate professionals eager to empower learners in diverse classroom settings. Available opportunities include positions in both middle and elementary schools, with openings in CORE (behavior program) and Structured Learning (lifeskills) environments.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Previous experience working with students in behavior programs or lifeskills/structured learning preferred Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with other educators, staff, and families Ability to tailor instruction to diverse learning styles and needs Adaptability, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting student growth and success
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs Deliver engaging, adaptive instruction in classroom and small group settings Monitor student progress, completing required documentation and assessments Collaborate closely with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and school leadership Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment Participate in team meetings and professional development to continuously enhance your teaching practice
