Valid certification as a Generalist and Special Education Teacher (both certificates required) Endorsement to teach EC-6th grade, covering all levels of Special Education Previous experience working in self-contained classrooms or Life Skills programs preferred Strong ability to adapt curriculum, implement IEPs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Passion for empowering students with intellectual, physical, or multiple disabilities Excellent organizational and communication skills to connect with students, families, and staff Key responsibilities: Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with district and legal requirements Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to a range of learning styles and abilities Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages independence and personal achievement Monitor student progress, updating goals and communicating outcomes to parents and team members Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support Employ effective classroom management strategies for positive, consistent learning experiences Youll enjoy working in a supportive school community, making meaningful contributions from the ASAP start date through May 27, 2027.
