6970918-78148 Job Description Make a meaningful impact on elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in an engaging educational environment near Universal City, TX. This contract position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities (4-hour days, 5 days per week) with a focus on supporting students unique learning needs. Applicants with prior Dyslexia teaching experience will be prioritized, as there is a need to fill two vital Dyslexia case manager roles for the upcoming school year.
Key Qualifications:
Current EC-4 or EC-6 teaching certification is required (EC-12 certifications are also welcomed) Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary setting Strong background in serving students with Dyslexia or familiarity with effective Dyslexia interventions Skilled in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and organizational skills to support case management
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to elementary-aged students, adapting curriculum and teaching methods to meet diverse needs Provide comprehensive Dyslexia case management, ensuring students receive appropriate interventions and regular progress monitoring Assist with the creation, implementation, and evaluation of IEPs in collaboration with staff and families Maintain thorough and accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and school events as scheduled The positions begin with the first day of school on August 14th, providing the perfect opportunity to start the academic year in a supportive, student-centered department.
