A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description
Qualifications and Required Experience:
Current, valid Special Education teaching certification that meets state requirements Proven expertise in IEP development, implementation, and case management Ability to support students with diverse learning needs in inclusive classroom settings Strong communication skills for collaboration with general education teachers, staff, and families Commitment to in-person instruction (virtual options are not available for these positions)Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to students according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Deliver effective, differentiated instructional strategies targeting student-specific learning goals Monitor, document, and communicate student progress regularly Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including related service providers and administrative staff Act as a liaison with families, advocating for students needs and well-being Maintain compliance with all relevant legal, procedural, and documentation requirementsWhat Sets These Opportunities Apart:
