Tackle an exciting, onsite contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, working full-time (35 hours/week) with elementary and early childhood students. Openings are available for three dedicated professionals: two Special Education Teachers for elementary levels, and one for early childhood. Your expertise will be central to fostering growth and independence for students across multiple classrooms. Leverage your skills in individualized instruction while collaborating with a supportive educational team.
Desired Background & Certifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for Vermont licensure) Experience working with elementary or early childhood populations preferred Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and tracking Strong communication and collaboration skills Adaptability and compassion for working with students of varying abilities Familiarity with current best practices in special education
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging individualized and small group instruction aligned with IEP goals Assess student strengths and needs, collecting and documenting data effectively Collaborate with general educators, therapists, families, and support staff Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring Implement positive behavioral interventions and supports within the classroom Foster a safe, inclusive, and growth-oriented learning environment Why consider this opportunity?
