9626327-05602 Job Description Make an immediate difference in the lives of students as an in-person Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic years. Two contract positions are availableone in a middle school and the other in a high school setting. These roles focus on helping students reach their fullest potential in supportive and collaborative learning environments.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education licensure per state requirements (non-negotiable) Prior experience in a school-based special education setting, particularly with IEP case management Confidence in conducting educational evaluations and developing IEPs Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with paraeducators, related service providers, and families Passion for advocating for students unique needs in inclusive classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
Middle School Special Educator:
Teach and case-manage 5th and 6th graders, conduct evaluations, and develop/implement
IEPs High School Special Educator:
Case-manage, provide direct instruction to students on IEPs, and supervise/support paraeducators Maintain accurate and timely documentation for compliance and best practices Foster positive student relationships, build trust, and encourage participation Work closely with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and instruction Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and IEP goals
