Qualifications & Experience:
Current teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement Demonstrated knowledge of IEP processes, goal setting, and progress monitoring Experience with diverse learning styles and the ability to adapt instructional approaches Strong organizational and communication skills Previous experience working with students who have a range of special needs (preferred) Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students Assess students' strengths, challenges, and progress, providing regular updates Modify curriculum and provide differentiated instruction based on student needs Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to support student success Maintain organized records, documentation, and compliance with all state and federal regulations Foster a supportive, positive classroom environment that encourages growth and engagement Participate in professional development as needed and contribute to team meetings
