9680028-98006 Job Description Make a difference in the lives of students by taking on a rewarding contract role as a Special Education Teacher in the Bellevue area. In this full-time position, youll work with the LRC1 program at the elementary level, providing critical support and tailored instruction to help each learner succeed. This is a back-fill assignment starting as soon as possible and anticipated to run through June 17, 2027, giving you the opportunity to build lasting relationships and make a significant impact over several school years. The ideal candidate is passionate, flexible, and ready to champion students with unique learning needs. Youll collaborate with other educators and support staff while ensuring every child is empowered to achieve their goals.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid Washington State Special Education teaching license and required certification Prior experience in a special education setting, particularly at the elementary level, is preferred Able to obtain or willing to secure fingerprints through OSPI Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where every student feels supported

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the LRC1 program Adapt curriculum and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities Track student progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related services staff Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and needs This full-time position offers the security of steady hours each week and the chance to make a real difference for a diverse student population.
