For the 2026-2027 academic year, a dedicated professional is sought to provide specialized teaching services for a caseload of eight students. The contract runs from August 26, 2026, through June 16, 2027, requiring a commitment of approximately 15 hours per week across a range of individualized service minutes.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Washington Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Certification required Previous experience delivering instructional support to visually impaired students in K-12 settings preferred Comfortable providing both direct instruction and consultative services based on student IEPs Must complete fingerprinting through OSPI prior to employment Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families Must be able to work onsite; remote options are not available

Role Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of about eight students, each with unique service schedules and needs Deliver direct instruction, orientation and mobility collaboration, and assistive technology guidance in accordance with IEP requirements Work closely with classroom teachers and other related service providers to support academic and functional success Consult with families regarding progress, resources, and accommodations Document services and maintain compliance with district and state requirements Act as a vital team member during IEP meetings and student evaluations This position offers a meaningful way to make a difference in students lives within a supportive school community.
