Join our energetic and supportive team in Pulaski as we work together to serve and support all students across the district.
Job Goal:
Provide a multi-tiered system of interventions and supports for students with diverse learning, emotional, behavioral, physical, and intellectual needs. Collaborate with staff to deliver instruction in areas such as reading, writing, math, and social skills within an inclusive setting.
Qualifications:
Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction special education certification, number 1810, 1811, 1801 or 1830 in the high school setting Ability to collaborate with parents, teachers, and community members in order to help students meet individual goals. Passion for teaching students with various challenges. (physical, ability, communication and/or behavioral) Teaching assignment will be based on the individual needs of the students. Must be willing to team teach and/or act as a resource to regular education teachers. Training and/or experience in teaching social communication and appropriate expected behaviors. Must have a desire to work in a collaborative, team approach in supporting students. Willingness to incorporate interventions in classroom activities Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong planning skills Experience with developing and writing IEPs A desire to promote family involvement in school and community Highly developed interpersonal skills Excellent classroom management skills
