POSITION OBJECTIVE
Managing student learning, in the absence of the regular teacher in accordance with the goals and directives of the school.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.) Maintains a positive learning environment for all students and a professional relationship with all staff in accordance with school policy. Ensures adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students. Implements lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
(positions in this class typically require): Education equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree is required. Candidate must hold a valid Arizona Substitute Certificate or Arizona Teaching Certificate IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
