View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Brief Description of Duties Under the supervision of the site administrator, provides an educational program for students encompassing basic skills and motivating students to develop the skills, attitude, and knowledge needed for a good educational foundation and prepares students as follows:
  • Uses information about individual students' academic strengths, needs, and progress in planning
  • Provide academic service to engage student in work aligned to the California Common Core Standards
  • Uses resources that will promote high levels of learning and student engagement
  • Follows established policies and procedures for reporting incidents (e.
g., child abuse, bullying, harassment, and violence) Qualifications 1. Bachelor's Degree plus appropriate coursework to qualify for teaching credential 2. Appropriate CA credential authorizing the teaching of students in reading (typically a Single Subject English or Multiple Subjects Credential) or equivalent with EL authorization 3. Assignment for this long-term position will be in the following periods but is subject to change: 3 periods of reading, 1 period study skills and 1 period leadership Please submit a completed EdJoin application and a copy of California credential authorizing service as indicated above.
