Thank you for your interest in MCSD job opportunities! We are centrally located in Iowa in a beautiful town called Marshalltown. Our district has over 5,000 students and roughly 900 full- and part-time employees. Our 6 elementary schools (one dual language), one intermediate school, one middle school, one high school, and one alternative high school educate some of the brightest, most creative, and culturally diverse minds in the state. We are seeking a full-time substitutes to work in our elementary buildings on a permanent basis. The purpose of a full-time substitute is to fill in when our certified staff are absent and have a consistent presence in the building.
These positions will ideally be assigned to each building, but might be shared amongst buildilngs (depending on the number of viable applicants). The job description is HERE.
Pay:
Those with valid, active teaching licenses will be compensated $185/day. Those with substitute authorizations only will be compensated $155/day. These positions will work roughly 178 days per school year and are eligible for health benefits and paid time off.
