Aug 27, 2026 Job Description Substitute Teaching Assistant (Grades K-8) Hilltown Cooperative Charter Public School is seeking caring, flexible substitutes to support our K-8 classrooms. At Hilltown, substitutes typically work alongside a Teaching Assistant or Lead Teacher, helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment while supporting students individually, in small groups, or with the whole class as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Successful completion of a CORI/background check Experience working with children is preferred Responsibilities Support classroom instruction under the direction of primary classroom staff Assist students with academic, social, and behavioral needs Supervise students during classroom activities and other assigned times Help maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment Follow lesson plans and school procedures when covering classrooms Supervise recess and lunch as assigned To Apply Please direct all questions and application materials to Rebecca Belcher-Timme, Director of Teaching and Learning.
