Job Description
Special Education Long Term Substitute Teacher
- (1.
0 FTE) The Sudbury Public Schools, a prek-8 district, is seeking a skilled, experienced and dynamic special education teacher to work as a Special Educator. The special education teacher will work in a model of service delivery offering academic and behavioral support, co-teaching and inclusionary practices in general education classrooms combined with pull out instruction for small groups and individuals.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan for the effective instruction and intervention for students on IEPs;
- Administer formal diagnostic assessment and tests for students initially referred and for three-year re-evaluations of caseload students;
- Administer ongoing progress monitoring, strategic monitoring and benchmark systems;
- Schedule, prepare for, and attend Team meetings for newly referred and caseload students;
- Write comprehensive progress reports;
- Collaborate with general education staff with respect to appropriate accommodations and modifications;
- Provide ongoing positive communication with parents;
- Collect and analyze student data against IEP goals;
- Other related duties as assigned.

Long term substitute teacher for greater than 8 weeks (DESE certification required):$250.
