As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment for students in the absence of their regular teacher. This position requires flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to fostering student growth and development. Ideal candidates will have experience or knowledge in childhood development, early childhood education, and various teaching methodologies. Responsibilities Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of education. Manage classroom behavior and maintain a productive learning environment. Engage students in learning activities that promote literacy education and critical thinking. Provide support for students with special needs and adapt lessons as necessary. Foster a nurturing atmosphere that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding classroom activities and student progress. Supervise students during breaks and transitions to ensure safety and well-being. Qualifications A background in Education is preferred. Experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in subjects such as Math or Literacy Education. Familiarity with special education practices to support diverse learners. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students of varying ages and backgrounds. Previous experience in a K-8 School settings is advantageous. A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all students.
