Lower School Substitute Teacher Position Cincinnati Country Day School is seeking experienced substitute teachers to work with children in our 18 months through grade 4 program. Strong candidates will be professional, energetic, and dedicated. This creative and positive individual should be a good teammate and colleague. The hours for a typical day are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pay begins at $17.50 per hour based on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Commit to the mission, character virtues, and code of conduct of the school Be available to substitute teach in 18 months to grade 4 program or ages/grades of your choice Maintain and respect the confidentiality of student and school personnel information Ensure adequate supervision to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all students Maintain discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive learning environment for all students and staff in accordance with school and county policies Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities Implement lesson plans while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner that motivates students to learn and participate Must be able to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and students Assume other responsibilities, functions, and duties as needed and assigned Qualifications Competitive candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and some experience teaching/working with children.
