Responsibilities Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of instruction across subjects such as literacy, math, social studies, and science. Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a respectful and focused learning environment. Adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements or autism spectrum disorder. Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance student engagement and facilitate learning activities. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and classroom needs. Follow school policies, mandated reporting laws, and safety procedures diligently to ensure a secure environment for all students. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support curriculum implementation and share best practices for classroom management. Requirements Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings. Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional adaptability across diverse student populations. Strong classroom management skills coupled with effective behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills to engage students effectively and maintain positive parent-teacher relationships. Ability to work flexibly across different classrooms and grade levels on short notice. Proficiency with computers and educational technologies to support interactive learning experiences. Understanding of childhood development principles and experience working with individuals with autism or in private school environments is a plus. Pay:
