Kosloff Torah Academy (KTA) is an Orthodox Jewish Girls' High School whose students are committed to high standards of Torah observance and personal conduct. The college-preparatory school environment is both challenging and supportive, encouraging each student to develop her talents, pursue her ambitions and prepare to meet the challenges and embrace the opportunities she will encounter in the future. Overview We are seeking a dedicated Long Term Chemistry Substitute Teacher for two periods a day for the upcoming months of October and November 2026 . This role offers a great opportunity for graduate students seeking classroom teaching experience, retirees looking to contribute their expertise, or individuals in between jobs. The substitute teacher will be responsible for maintaining a productive learning environment and ensuring continuity of instruction in the absence of the regular chemistry teacher. This paid position is ideal for those passionate about education and science, and eager to make a positive impact on students' academic progress. Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective chemistry lessons in accordance with the established curriculum. Manage classroom activities, foster a positive learning environment, and maintain student discipline. Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth daily operations and communicate any concerns or student issues promptly. Follow school policies and safety protocols to ensure a secure learning environment. Maintain accurate attendance records and complete required documentation related to student progress. Requirements A background in chemistry or a related field; current graduate students pursuing relevant degrees are encouraged to apply. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively. Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom settings and student needs. Availability for the entire duration of October and November 2026. Pay:
$65.00 - $75.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 per week
