Substitute Teacher Who You Are The Episcopal Academy welcomes applications for daily substitute teaching opportunities in our Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. As a substitute teacher, you will support student learning during a teacher's absence, follow prepared lesson plans, and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. What You Will Do Deliver lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher. Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Supervise students and maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive learning environment. Work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to support students and daily routines. Provide the classroom teacher with feedback about the day's activities and any concerns. About You The ideal candidate for the Substitute Teacher position at The Episcopal Academy will possess the following: A bachelor's degree; a degree in education or a related field is preferred. Previous teaching, substitute teaching, or experience working with children is an asset. A commitment to student safety, well-being, and learning. Strong communication and classroom management skills. A dependable, flexible approach and the ability to follow established plans and procedures.
