Interim Educator - Classical Curriculum - Substitute

Job Summary:

Emmanuel Christian School is a classical Christian school in Clarksburg, WV. We are seeking substitute teachers for the 2024-2025 academic year. We are a member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) and the Classical Latin School Association.

Duties:

• Follow the provided lesson plans, maintain classroom structure and discipline
• Employ a classical Christian pedagogy in the classroom, using provided curriculum
• Implement effective classroom management techniques
• Cultivate students' souls utilizing the Great Books and liberal arts
• Engage students in interactive learning activities
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the regular teacher
• Collaborate with colleagues & parents to provide the best possible education for each student

Qualifications:

• Willingness to learn and utilize a classical Christian pedagogy (e.g.
• The Seven Laws of Teaching)
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
• Classroom and behavior management focused on shepherding students' souls
• Availability during the regular work week (M-F)

Pay:

From $12.00 per hour
