Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will work closely with students who have special needs to provide support and assistance in the classroom. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and help them reach their full potential.
Duties:
  • Assist the special education teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Provide support to students on the autism spectrum
  • Collaborate with the teacher to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
  • Help students with tasks such as reading, writing, math, and other subjects as needed
  • Adapt instructional materials and activities to meet the individual needs of students
  • Assist in monitoring student progress and collecting data for progress reports
Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with special education practices and principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Required
