EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. (Copy of high school diploma, its equivalent or higher education. Individuals who have completed their education from institutions outside of the United States must provide a complete evaluation of foreign transcripts from an accredited evaluation agency).
- Must have an AA degree or higher or at least 48 semester units of study at an institution of higher education or pass an Assessment Test.
- Experience working with children in an educational or child care setting.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE
- Knowledge of proper language usage, punctuation, spelling and grammar in English and Korean.
- Knowledge of general concepts of child growth and development and child behavior characteristics.
- Knowledge of instructional and behavioral strategies used in controlling and motivating students.
- Knowledge of routine record keeping and other clerical duties.
- Ability to communicate fluently and translate instructional materials and student progress in English and Korean.
- Ability to consider different means of communicating educational ideas and concepts in both English and Korean.
- Ability to assume responsibility for supervising students.
- Ability to operate computer and media equipment and use specialized testing and instructional software applications.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and parents.
