Responsibilities for Aide Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs Utilize developmentally appropriate practice and best practice methods at all times Be warm and nurturing with children Be a positive role model for all care giving staff and children Be customer service orientated and professional Provide excellent customer service according to the preschool standards Reports to the Center Director Qualifications for Aide High school graduate or enrolled in an ROP at an accredited high school 6 core semester units in early childhood education/development semester units (or 2 completed units of early childhood education each semester following initial employment and continuation in an educational program until fully qualified) Prior experience working in Child Care preferred Up to date immunizations Must pass a background check Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to stand and move around for long hours at a time while teaching
