ATs may be assigned to work in a classroom with children birth through 12 years or as a support teacher across all age groups. ATs are required to provide high-quality care, supervision, and educational experiences to all children. ATs are responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Teacher's Aides, as assigned to their classroom.

Adhere to all safety standards, including Universal Precautions when exposed to blood and body fluids and OSHA safety regulations, and the use of equipment/machinery. Essential Duties Support Maryvale's Performance and Quality Improvement Plan through participation in program goals, data collection, analysis, and continuous quality improvement efforts. Plan, implement, and maintain engaging, developmentally appropriate, culturally responsive learning experiences and classroom environments that align with Creative Curriculum, program goals, Maryvale philosophy, and ERS standards. Ensure the health, safety, supervision, and well-being of children at all times in accordance with Maryvale policies, licensing regulations, and mandated reporting requirements. Maintain compliance with classroom health and safety procedures, including sanitation, recordkeeping, safe sleep practices, allergy management, food program documentation, and daily child reports. Build positive partnerships with families through ongoing communication, parent conferences, timely responses to inquiries, and support regarding each child's development and progress. Provide virtual learning opportunities and educational content, as needed, to support the continued development of enrolled children and families. Maryvale retains ownership of all educational content created for program or promotional purposes. Maintain accurate child records and documentation, including DRDP assessments, anecdotal observations, behavior logs, and other required reports. Provide day-to-day supervision, mentorship, training, and support to Teacher's Aides, and communicate performance-related feedback to the ECE administrative team. Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding program, operational, or safety concerns and collaborate effectively with colleagues to promote a positive, cohesive team environment. Maintain required permits, complete annual professional development requirements, and actively participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional learning opportunities Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, confidentiality, sound judgment, and ethical decision-making in all interactions with children, families, and staff. Perform additional duties as needed. Qualifications Current Immunizations. Active Fingerprint Clearance. Child Development permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) at the Associate Teacher or higher level. Permits must be kept current and cannot be allowed to lapse or expire. Associate Teachers are responsible for maintaining a professional development plan, which includes setting professional growth goals, maintaining 21 hours of professional development annually, and renewing/upgrading their permit with the CTC 3-6 months prior to expiration.
