Job Description

Aurora Public Schools collaborate with Children's Hospital to provide an educational setting for children who need daily medical and social/emotional care. This para-educator position would be in one of two classrooms at Children's Hospital. This para-educator would support students' access to their general education instruction by running small groups, working 1:1 and/or helping students stay on task and complete academic work. Nurses on the unit will take care of all medical needs. The para-educator would be working directly with an APS special education teacher and Children's Hospital medical staff. This position will require successful completion of APS' and Children's Hospital's hiring requirements.
