Elementary Paraeducators (1st Grade) Shift type: Full-time Full-time Work hours: 7:30 AM - 4 PM (Regular days) Full-time Work days: Mon - Fri, except for no-school days for students About Lotus School for

Visit our website for more information: www.lotusschool.org A school paraeducator must be willing to: Work in an environment full of learners Assist the teachers with daily in- and out-of-classroom tasks such as short-term student monitoring, helping students with class assignments, making & handing out copies, pick-up & drop-off supervision, etc. Perform active supervision duties during lunch and recess Cover classes when a sub does not show up or coverage can't be found Assist the testing coordinator during testing seasons Willing to work and excel in a very diverse student environment Perform any other duties assigned by the school administration Professional expectations: Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent organization skills Ability to work in a dynamic school environment Ability to follow directions and complete the tasks as directed Ability to stand or walk around for about an hour, as needed Ability to work collaboratively Ability to apply superb judgment Strong self-starter; ability to work with limited direction Demonstrate an energetic and positive personality towards students, parents, and coworkers Follow all school policies and procedures for staff members Know and enforce school rules stated in the student handbook, as needed Dedication and commitment to work
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma Pass the background check
Preferred:
Experience as a paraeducator Experience in schools or educational environment Experience with learners in the appropriate age group Reports to: Elementary asst. (Principal)

$37,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
