Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make an impact every day by supporting students in special education classrooms! This contract opportunity near Aurora, CO is tailored for dedicated paraprofessionals with a passion for assisting children facing significant and severe challenges. Multiple positions are available at the elementary and high school level, with guaranteed weekly hours and a consistent, full school-year term (8/11 to 5/21/27).
What You'll Need:
At least 1 full year of experience working in SPED (Special Education) classrooms Experience with significant or severe caseloads highly preferred Flexibility to work at different school sites or with various age groups as needed Reliable personal transportation (public transit/ride-shares are not accepted) Willingness to assist with daily living tasks, such as toileting or diapering when required Ability to reliably report to work by 7:40 AM (Elementary) or 8:00 AM (Middle/High) Completion of fingerprinting/background check immediately upon offer (any charges lead to disqualification) Submission of TWO completed professional RefAssured references is required for consideration
Key Responsibilities:
Support the classroom teacher and individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct academic and behavioral assistance to students Foster a positive, inclusive environment for learning and communication Assist with personal care needs compassionately and professionally Adapt quickly to changing assignments or school locations per district needs
