9681515-80107 Job Description Step into a meaningful contract role supporting students in an Affective Needs classroom setting as a paraprofessional. This is a full-time opportunity near Elizabeth, CO, where your dedication and compassion will make a real difference in the lives of seven students each day. As a behavior para, youll work closely with experienced educators, providing essential support to help students achieve their social, emotional, and academic goals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school or educational setting Strong understanding of student behavioral supports and strategies Familiarity with Affective Needs programs or similar specialized classrooms Ability to develop positive, professional relationships with students and staff Patience, resilience, and adaptability in a dynamic environment Effective communication and collaboration skills Ability to follow instructions and individualized student plans

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to seven students, assisting with classroom participation and daily routines Implement behavior intervention plans and strategies as directed by classroom teachers or specialists Assist with academic tasks, social skills development, and emotional regulation exercises Encourage a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere Monitor and document student progress and report observations to lead educators Support students in transitions, break times, and other scheduled activities throughout the school day Participate in team meetings and ongoing training sessions as needed
