r46977-80107 Job Description Registered Behavior Technician / Paraprofessional Full-Time | Onsite | School-Based Position Elizabeth, CO About the Opportunity ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician / Paraprofessional to join a school-based team supporting students in an Exceptional Needs Classroom. This full-time, onsite role provides direct academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs in a structured educational environment. Position Details Full-Time, Monday-Friday Onsite school setting Exceptional Needs Classroom School-year schedule Competitive compensation and benefits package available Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and positive behavior support strategies as directed by the educational team. Assist students with academic tasks, classroom participation, and skill development. Support students in developing social, communication, self-regulation, and daily living skills. Monitor student behaviors and document progress, incidents, and interventions. Collaborate with special education teachers, school psychologists, behavior specialists, therapists, and other school staff. Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment. Assist with classroom preparation, supervision, transitions, and other instructional activities. Support student inclusion and engagement throughout the school day. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or coursework in education, psychology, behavior analysis, or related field preferred. Previous experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with disabilities Experience supporting students with autism, behavioral challenges, or special education needs Ability to follow behavior plans and instructional strategies consistently. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations. Preferred Experience Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain certification. Experience in special education, ABA therapy, behavioral health, childcare, or school-based support roles. Knowledge of positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS). Why Join Us?
