Key Qualifications:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional or directly related experience Paraprofessional Certification, Associate's degree, or a minimum of 60 college credits Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in helping special education students Ability to assist with supervision, classroom management, and instruction as outlined in PPT and IEP documents Willingness to assist students with toileting if needed
Core Responsibilities:
Work 1:1 with students and provide general classroom support alongside teachers and supervisors Assist in the supervision and instruction of special education students, ensuring activities align with IEPs Help create a positive classroom atmosphere by supporting academics, behavior management, and daily routines Communicate regularly with teaching staff to update on student progress and needs Facilitate student participation in classroom exercises and activities This contract position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $18-24, depending on qualifications and experience.
