Position Title:
English Learner/Multilingual Learner (EL/ML) Paraprofessional (PK12)
Location:
Ellington Public Schools (District-Wide)
Position Summary:
Ellington Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time English Learner/Multilingual Learner (EL/ML) Paraprofessional serving students in grades PK12 across the district. This position supports students identified as English learners by providing instructional assistance under the direction of the EL/ML Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
Provide instructional support to EL/ML students in the areas of speaking, listening, reading, and writing across all content areas
Work with students in one-on-one, small group, and general education classroom settings
Collaborate with classroom teachers and the EL/ML Coordinator to support student learning and language development
Assist with the administration of state English language proficiency assessments
Travel between multiple schools within the district as needed
Qualifications:
Experience working with students, preferably in an educational setting
Ability to support diverse learners across grade levels
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Multilingual abilities are preferred
