Key Qualifications:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a supporting role within a school setting Strong understanding of social-emotional and behavioral support strategies Ability to develop positive rapport and build trust with students Proven skills in crisis intervention or de-escalation preferred Patient, compassionate, and collaborative approach to working with children Ability to follow directives from teachers, counselors, and behavior specialists

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support for a student with social-emotional and behavioral needs Assist with behavior management, redirection, and positive reinforcement techniques Collaborate closely with educational staff to reinforce learning objectives and strategies Implement interventions and accommodations as outlined by the student's support plan Maintain accurate documentation and provide timely feedback to school professionals Support student participation in classroom and school activities, encouraging social skills development This onsite contract position features a consistent daytime schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
