Job Description
Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a positive impact supporting elementary students as a contract paraprofessional in a vibrant onsite school setting. This engaging role spans from now through June 2027, offering steady, weekday hours with meaningful student interaction. You'll begin by assisting 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms, with an opportunity to build experience as you transition into supporting early learners in a K-1 environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current Delaware Paraeducator Permit (must be in hand; pending permits will not be accepted) Willingness to cover the cost of required CBC fingerprinting Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational or support setting is highly preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Flexibility to support multiple grade levels as classroom needs shiftPrimary Responsibilities:
Provide classroom support to teachers and directly assist students with instructional activities Foster a positive, inclusive environment where young learners feel engaged and supported Support small group or one-on-one instruction in accordance with teacher plans Help to manage classroom behavior and encourage positive social interactions Adapt to various tasks and transitions between grade levels as student needs evolve The position is full-time, onsite, running Monday through Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, ensuring you have regular hours for work-life stability.
