Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Support positive learning and development in a dynamic educational environment as a skilled paraprofessional and behavior specialist. Collaborate with dedicated educators to foster student growth and offer individualized assistance to young learners in early childhood settings. Your role will be vital in creating a nurturing, responsive atmosphere that encourages both social-emotional and academic progress.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Experience as a paraprofessional, behavior specialist, or in early childhood education settings Familiarity with classroom management strategies and positive behavior supports Strong interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt to varying classroom needs and support diverse learners Knowledge of child development principles and special education practices is a plus Reliable, proactive, and compassionate approach to guiding student behavior
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct assistance to students in classroom and small group settings Implement behavior intervention plans under the direction of certified staff Support instructional activities and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs Foster a safe, inclusive environment conducive to learning and development Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and related service providers Model and reinforce positive behaviors, helping students develop coping and social skills Monitor student progress and communicate observations to educational teams Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and other duties as needed
