Job Description
Step into a vital role supporting students instructional and behavioral success as an onsite paraprofessional within an elementary setting near Bear, DE. Youll offer individual attention to a student requiring dedicated assistance, helping them transition smoothly into their school experience. As a contract paraprofessional, youll collaborate closely with teachers and staff to foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment.
Qualifications:
Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit (must be in hand; pending status is not accepted) Experience in a school environment or with children requiring behavioral and instructional support preferred Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies is an asset Clear communication and strong teamwork skills Willingness to pay for required $85 CBC fingerprinting If holding RBT certification, must arrange BCBA supervision independently outside school hoursKey Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small group support for students needing elevated instructional and behavioral guidance Facilitate positive daily routines, helping students achieve academic and social goals Assist with classroom activities, adapt instructional materials, and reinforce learning objectives Monitor student progress and report observations to educational staff Support a positive, safe classroom environment tailored to each students needs You will work Monday through Friday, 35 hours a week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
