Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students as a paraprofessional supporting classroom success. In this contract opportunity, you will provide essential instructional and behavioral support at the elementary level, beginning with 2nd and 3rd grades and transitioning to a K-1 setting. You'll be a valued member of a collaborative onsite team dedicated to supporting positive outcomes for young learners. What we're seeking: Active DE Paraeducator Permit (required at time of application; pending permits must include a DEEDS portal screenshot) Previous experience assisting in elementary classrooms or working with young children Strong communication skills and professional demeanor Ability to adapt and transition between grade levels and learning environments Awareness and agreement to cover $85 CBC fingerprinting cost prior to assignment For RBTs, please note: supervision is not provided during school hours; personal arrangements for BCBA supervision outside school are required to maintain certification What you'll do: Provide one-on-one and small-group academic and behavioral support under teacher direction Foster positive social interactions and encourage student independence Support classroom management, organization, and safety protocols Assist with implementing individualized learning plans and interventions Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor student progress and adjustment Participate actively in daily classroom routines and transitions This full-time, Monday through Friday role offers stability, connection, and a chance to make a genuine impact through the school year.
