Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make an impact working with preschool-aged learners as a paraprofessional at a lively early childhood education setting near Hockessin, DE. In this contract role, you'll work directly onsite, supporting students in a nurturing environment while collaborating with dedicated educators. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills to enhance the educational experience for children, all while developing professionally alongside an experienced team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Must hold a valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit (pending permits are considered with appropriate documentation) Previous experience working in a school or early childhood setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff and young children Willingness to complete required $85 CBC fingerprinting prior to start Ability to provide documentation of DE Paraeducator Permit and updated resume for consideration For RBT-certified applicants: please note district and agency supervision will not be provided, and role will function under paraprofessional classification
Responsibilities:
Support the instructional and behavioral needs of preschool students in both individual and small group settings Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and educational specialists to implement learning activities and accommodations Foster a positive, inclusive environment conducive to early childhood development Assist with classroom management, safety, and daily routines Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
