Key Qualifications:

Active Delaware Paraeducator Permit required (must be issued and in hand, not pending). Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is strongly desired. Ability to engage and support students with diverse learning needs. Strong communication, teamwork, and reliability in a fast-paced school environment. Willingness to complete required background checks and pay for CBC fingerprinting.

Role Responsibilities:

Work full-time, Monday through Friday, totaling 35 hours a week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Provide in-class and one-on-one support for students, helping them adapt and participate fully in their academic experience. Collaborate closely with teachers and staff, implementing classroom plans and individualized student support. Maintain a positive, professional presence in the classroom, ensuring safety and engagement for all students. Assist with daily routines, behavioral support, and academic accommodations throughout the school day. This onsite opportunity offers stability through September, making it ideal for experienced paraprofessionals eager to have a positive impact. Candidates who are also RBTs are welcome, but must arrange their own BCBA supervision outside of contract hours in order to maintain their certification, as district support will not be provided.
