A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description
Openings for full time certified Teacher or Assistant Teacher positions available for patient, responsible, fun, excited and energetic people to join our team at our large center in downtown Wilmington. Must be reliable, committed and have a passion and love for working with infant thru 5 years old children. Candidates must have a great work ethic, be team oriented and able to get along with others. Candidates must be able to implement curriculum, maintain effective and open communication with parents and maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children at all times including performing light cleaning duties. Individual must be able to meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child. Contribute to curriculum planning, and keeping some anecdotal records. Maintain confidentiality and open communication with parents, attend required in-service training's and staff meetings, maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children and will report directly to the director.
