Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant educational community. In this role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for students of various ages and abilities. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster student success, promote positive behavior, and ensure that every child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive academically and socially. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education and classroom management. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities Support students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements, ensuring they participate fully in classroom activities Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to maintain a safe and positive environment Help manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies consistent with educational policies such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Use educational technologies and computers to enhance student engagement and learning experiences Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones Collaborate with teachers on lesson preparation, classroom organization, and individualized support plans Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings, childcare centers, or tutoring roles is highly desirable Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a strong plus Familiarity with classroom behavior management techniques and educational compliance regulations Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and students Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies to support instruction Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is appreciated Join us as a Teacher Assistant part-time and be part of a dedicated team committed to fostering a supportive learning environment where every student can succeed!
