As an Assistant Teacher, you will work alongside experienced educators to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow. What You'll Do Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities, lessons, and routines. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities. Assist with age-appropriate learning experiences that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Help with snack and meal times, diapering, restroom breaks, and classroom transitions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Build positive and professional relationships with children, families, and team members. Follow all applicable licensing, health, safety, and childcare regulations. Assist with classroom preparation, cleanup, and daily documentation. Help create a positive classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued. Required Qualifications Florida 45-Hour DCF Child Care Certification required. High School Diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to maintain a consistent Monday-Friday schedule. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dependable, patient, caring, and nurturing attitude. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Previous childcare or early childhood education experience. At least 1 year of teaching or childcare experience preferred. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain. Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential preferred. English proficiency required.
