Responsibilities:
- Teach Medical Assistant course content in alignment with the program curriculum
- Demonstrate and supervise hands-on clinical skills, including vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, injections, infection control, and basic clinical procedures
- Support students in developing professionalism, communication skills, and patient care skills
- Assist with skills check-offs, classroom activities, and student progress tracking
- Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive learning environment
- Follow Oahu Medical Academy policies and program standards
Required Qualifications:
- Current CCMA certification required
- At least three years experience as a Medical Assistant
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to teach, mentor, and support students from diverse backgrounds
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior instructor, trainer, preceptor, or leadership experience preferred
- Experience in outpatient clinic or specialty practice setting preferred
- BLS certification preferred
Schedule:
Part-time position. In-person availability required. Specific teaching schedule may vary based on program needs.Pay:
