The instructor will help teach and guide students through foundational medical assisting concepts, hands-on clinical skills, and professional preparation for entry-level healthcare roles.
Responsibilities:
  • Teach Medical Assistant course content in alignment with the program curriculum
  • Demonstrate and supervise hands-on clinical skills, including vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, injections, infection control, and basic clinical procedures
  • Support students in developing professionalism, communication skills, and patient care skills
  • Assist with skills check-offs, classroom activities, and student progress tracking
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive learning environment
  • Follow Oahu Medical Academy policies and program standards
Required Qualifications:
  • Current CCMA certification required
  • At least three years experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to teach, mentor, and support students from diverse backgrounds
  • Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior instructor, trainer, preceptor, or leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in outpatient clinic or specialty practice setting preferred
  • BLS certification preferred
Schedule:
Part-time position. In-person availability required. Specific teaching schedule may vary based on program needs.
Pay:
$24.60
