Qualifications:

Active Illinois Paraprofessional license required Experience working with students in special education settings or RISE classrooms is preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting student growth Ability to follow classroom routines and support individualized education plans (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct, one-on-one assistance to a student in the RISE classroom Support instructional activities, promote engagement, and encourage participation Assist with behavior management and implement strategies as directed by teachers or specialists Accompany the student throughout the school environment and assist with transitions Assist with documentation and reporting of student progress and daily activities Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere This position offers the chance to make a real impact while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative school community.
