Key Qualifications:
Valid Illinois School Social Worker license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required Previous school-based social work experience, particularly with elementary-aged children Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills Ability to provide direct social-emotional support, crisis intervention, and case management Comfortable working full time, onsite (8:00AM 3:35PM)
Primary Responsibilities:
Support students social, emotional, and behavioral development through individual and group counseling Conduct assessments and participate in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to identify and address student concerns Respond to crises and provide consultation on interventions as needed Maintain thorough documentation and uphold ethical standards in all interactions Foster an inclusive and positive school climate for all students This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference and gain valuable experience in a school community focused on student growth.
