Provide direct instruction to groups of students or individuals in or out of the classroom.
This may include: Implementation of individualized and small group instruction and discussionsAccommodating and modifying materials to match students needs as prescribed by the teacher.
Assist with the collection of student data.
Consult with teachers on students progress and on specific strategies and methodologies to be used.
Supervise unstructured time such as recess and/or lunch duty unless directed otherwise.
Assist the teacher in clean-up.
Assists with any other tasks students are not able to perform for themselvesDepending on assignment, provide assistance in escorting children to and from vehicles during drop-off or pick-up.
Assist students in using technology.
Assist substitutes in following lesson plans when classroom teacher is absentAbility to lift 30lbs. independentlyWillingness to participate in toileting activities is required.
Provide other related duties that the principal, assistant principal, Director of Student Services, and/or teacher may assignSalary based on Paraprofessional contract salary schedule, which can be found at: https://www.billericak12.com/human-resources. THIS IS A 5 DAY EMERGENCY
POSTINGThese positions are 35 hours per week (7 hours per day including a 1/2 hr unpaid lunch break). Please view the salary classifications/schedule which can be found on our website under Human Resources - collective bargaining agreements.Responsibilities include:
