Job Description

Dover-Sherborn High School is seeking an Educational Assistant II to support special education students in a variety of environments. The Educational Assistant will be provided support and direction from special education staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist students with special education needs in both general education and specialized settings, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and are engaged in learning activities. Provide one-on-one or small group support in areas such as classroom assignments, organization, and following schedules or routines. Implement behavior plans as directed by special education staff, offering positive reinforcement and helping students manage their emotions in a school environment. Help monitor student progress by collecting data on academic performance, behavior, and social-emotional development, and reporting observations to the supervising special education liaison. Assist in modifying classroom materials and assignments to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring accessibility for those with learning differences.
Collaborative Environment:
As an integral part of the special education team, the EA II will receive guidance and direction from special education liaisons, ensuring all supports are aligned with each students Individualized Education Program (IEP). Regular collaboration with classroom teachers and school specialists is essential to ensure that all students are being appropriately supported.
