Part-time Paraprofessional Reports To:

Principal and/or

Director of Special Education General :

Assist the teacher in working with the students in completing educational activities as directed by teacher

QUALIFICATIONS

▪ Previous experience working with students preferred

▪ Ability to obtain a paraprofessional license from the PSC preferred

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Responsibilities:

▪ Becoming familiar with the student's data

▪ Reinforcing subjects which have been taught by the teacher such as reading, math, spelling, vocabulary, Spanish, music and P.E.

▪ Assisting small groups of students

▪ Working one-to-one with self-contained student

▪ Assisting students with projects or assignments

▪ Helping students select library books

▪ Actively participating in the education of the students

▪ Planning and being prepared, asking questions

▪ Working with assigned teacher(s)

▪ Providing ongoing communication regarding students

▪ Supervise students in the hallway, cafeteria and playground.

▪ Assist with carpool duties

▪ Performing other duties as assigned by administration

Physical Activities:

▪ Walk and stand on cement floor

▪ Stoop, bend, crawl

▪ Subject to indoor and outdoor environments

EVALUATIVE OVERSIGHT AND ACCOUNTABILITY

• Paraprofessionals report directly to the Principal
• The Principal evaluates Paraprofessionals on the successful execution of Goals as designed above using, but not limited to the following:
• Principal Adopted Tool as Aligned to the CPF and Other Metrics
• Organizational Performance Instrument.

Pay:

$15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
