Elementary through High School (placement based on district needs) Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Paraprofessional to support students receiving special education services in a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Working under the direction of a certified teacher, you will provide classroom and individual student support while maintaining confidentiality and promoting student success. Assignments may be with elementary, middle, or high school students based on district needs. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one, small group, or classroom support under the supervision of the teacher. Assist students with academic activities including reading, writing, math, spelling, life skills, and other instructional tasks as directed. Support student engagement in teacher-developed learning activities. Help implement classroom behavior expectations and behavior intervention strategies when needed. Assist students with self-care and daily living needs as required. Become familiar with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and specific support requirements. Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, students, and families while maintaining confidentiality. Foster a positive, patient, and supportive learning environment. Follow school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned to support student success. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Experience working with children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with students who have varying academic, behavioral, emotional, and physical needs. Patient, caring, dependable, and adaptable. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Preferred Experience working with students receiving special education services. Basic computer skills.
Pay:
$21.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 35.0 per week
