We'd love to meet you! At Leelanau Children's Center, our Preschool Teacher Support Staff bring fresh energy and insight that make our teaching teams stronger. Working side by side with our Program Director and Preschool Teachers, you'll help ensure every child experiences a rich, joyful, and developmentally meaningful preschool adventure. This is a 30-40 hour/week position, though we're happy to explore a part-time arrangement for the right person. What you'll do: -Follow the children's lead. Observe and tune into each child's interests, then partner with teachers to shape a curriculum that grows and shifts along with them, documented in ways that let children and families see the learning unfold. -Craft inspiring spaces. Help design and care for classroom and outdoor environments that spark curiosity and reflect the unique personality of each class. -Build something together. Collaborate warmly with colleagues to create a welcoming, developmentally appropriate program where children and staff alike thrive. -Keep the day running smoothly. Work closely with the Program Director to thoughtfully cover teaching staff planning times, breaks, and professional development hours. -Be part of the whole team.

pre-service training, staff meetings, and professional development. Meet regularly with the Program Director to reflect and grow. What we're looking for: A genuine commitment to your own growth, with Early Childhood Education professional development goals set alongside our director.
